HELP RENOVATE THE FAIRGROUNDS
Non - Profit Organization: Putnam County Grounds Improvement Foundation, Inc. (PCGIF)
Foundation Mission: To upgrade County properties for utilization by competitive commerce to stimulate income generating properties, to upgrade and promote our area.
Sponsor Levels:
Blue Ribbon: $5,000.00 & UP
Red Ribbon: $2,00.00 - $4999.00
Yellow Ribbon: $1,000.00 - $1999.00
White Ribbon: $500.00 - $999.00
Pink Ribbon: $250.00 - $499.00
Friends of Fair: $ 200.00 or less
Description of the Current Projects Needing Funding:
A New Bell Plaza will be created to relocate the bell to a more prominent location across from the Jr. Fair Exhibitor’s building.A seating area will be incorporated into the new bell plaza.
10 foot Picket Fence Sections are available for $850.00.Sponsor signs will adorn your personal section of fence.Fence panels will continue to be installed until the picket fence completes itself from Gates 1 to 4. (property line to property line)
Shade trees and landscaping for cosmetic grounds improvements are being designed.Looking for a donor to replace the large oak tree by the Grandstands that was taken down in 2010 due to unsafe conditions.We would also like to replace the shade tree lost years ago in the makeup arena in the horse area.More trees are planned for much needed shade on the grounds but careful placement is needed for long term growth.
New Event/Advertising Marquee – We are looking for four-six sponsors that would like to purchase billboard advertisement beneath the proposed marquee sign on an annual renewal.The Marquee sign will be positioned near the fair office and will be an informative piece on monthly events at the Putnam County Fairgrounds.Cost for one year: $5,000.00.
Future Projects: 2010 Survey Results suggested several projects. Enlarge go-kart track, power grid, barn roofs, drainage, new restrooms, Jr. Fair and Merchant’s building renovations, and more events at the fairgrounds.Projects will be chosen based on available funding.
Need Assistance with locating grant funding and experienced grant writers.Need volunteers willing to lend a hand with man-hours and materials.
The Putnam County Grounds Improvement Foundation, Inc (PCGIF) is a non-profit 501(c)3 organization and donations are tax deductible.A receipt with tax ID# will be provided. Estate and memorial donations gratefully accepted.
