NO ENTRY FEE * OPEN TO KIDS AGE 12 AND UNDER

 

Five weight categories up to 110lbs.

Ribbons given to all participants!

 

Rules and Regulations

 

  1. Contestant must be able to pedal tractors without assistance.
  2. Pedal tractors will be furnished for all participants.
  3. All contestants must wear shoes.
  4. All contestants will be given three chances to get the sled moving for the starting line.
  5. The pulling tractor must stay between the lines of the pulling lanes at all times.
  6. If the tractor leaves the pulling lane, the distance will be measured from the starting line to the point where the tractor crossed the boundary.
  7. In case of a tie, there will be a pull off to determine the winner.
  8. There will be five classes of contestants as follows:

CLASS 1………………….25 to 33 POUNDS

CLASS 2………………….34 to 45 POUNDS

CLASS 3………………….46 to 61 POUNDS

CLASS 4………………….62 to 82 POUNDS

CLASS 5………………….83 to 110 POUNDS

  1. Both boys and girls are eligible to enter, age limit is 12 years.
  2. Prizes will be given to each winner.
  3. The judge’s decision will be final for all pulls.
  4. All contestants must be present by the time of pedal pull with a signed permission slip in hand.  The required signature of a parent or guardian releases the Putnam County Agricultural Society and FairBoard members from any financial responsibility due to an accident.
  5. Registration for the tractor pull will be one hour before pedal pull time.
  6. Child must be accompanied by an adult or guardian at the time of registration. 
  7. Spectators need to stay in the stands.

IN CONSIDERATION of being allowed to participate in the activity indicated above and/or being permitted to enter for any purpose any restricted area (herein defined as any area wherein admittance to the general public is prohibited), the parent(s) and/or legal guardian(s) of the minor participant named below agree:

 

1.      The parent(s) and/or legal guardian(s) will instruct the minor participant that prior to participating in the above activity or event, he or she should inspect the facilities and equipment to be used, and if he or she believes anything is unsafe, the participant should immediately advise the Officials of such condition and refuse to participate.

 

2.      I/we fully understand and acknowledge that:

a)      There are risks and dangers associated with participation in the above activity or event which could result in bodily

injury, partial and/or total disability, paralysis and death.

b)     The social and economic losses and/or damages, which could result from those risks and dangers described above, could be

severe.

c)      These risks and dangers may be caused by the action, inaction or negligence of the participant or the action, inaction or   

       negligence of others, including, but not limited to, the “Releasees” named below.

       d)    There may be other risks not known to us or are not reasonably foreseeable at this time.

       

3.      I/we accept and assume such risks and responsibility for the losses and/or damages following such injury, disability, paralysis or death, however caused and whether caused in whole or in part by the negligence of the “Releasees” name below.

 

4.      I/WE HEREBY RELEASE, WAIVE, DISCHARGE AND COVENANT NOT TO SUE the promoter, participants, sanctioning organization or any subdivision thereof, track operator, track owner, officials, any persons in any restricted area, promoters, sponsors, advertisers, owners, lessees of premises used to conduct the event or activity and each of them, their officers, agents and employees, all for the purposes herein referred to as “Releasees,” from all liability to the undersigned, my/our personal representatives, assigns, executors, heirs and next of kin for any and all claims, demands, losses or damages on account of any injury, including but not limited to the death of the participant or damage to property, caused or alleged to be caused in whole or in part by the negligence of the “Releasees” or otherwise.

 

5.      On behalf of the participant and individually, the undersigned parent(s) and/or legal guardian(s) for the minor participant executes this Waiver and Release.  If, despite this release, the participant makes a claim against any of the “Releasees,” the parent(s) and/or legal guardian(s) will reimburse the “Releasees” and their insuring company for any money which they have paid to the participant, or on his behalf, and hold them harmless.

 

I/WE HAVE READ THE ABOVE WAIVER AND RELEASE, UNDERSTAND THAT I/WE GIVE UP SUBSTANTIAL RIGHTS BY SIGNING IT AND SIGN IT VOLUNTARILY WITHOUT INDUCEMENT.
